sajuukkhar9000
So I was changing some graphics settings via the Skyrim launcher and I realized the launcher was reading my graphics card as a Nvidia 8800 GS when I have a Nvidia 460 GTX WTF is up with that? RitualBlack
I had the same problem (except I don't even have an nVidia card  , I have crossfire 2gb 6970m's). The reason for this is you are still using one of the .dll files from either a graphics mod, or a 'better performance mod'. For some reason this caused the card to detect as the incorrect one. If you are not using those try removing the d3d9.dll from your skyrim folder and it should be back to normal.

RitualBlack
Not sure  , but it probably doesn't change your performance in game. I would assume the card may just have been the one the editor of the d3d9.dll had so it displays it as such.
AltLamasticot
Hello everyone.. I've got the same problem, but now I want to use an ENB mod, wich require to install the d3d9.dll given with it. How could I do that, and still play with my correct GTX 660M ? :(

Georgiegril
If you go to steam's system information, what card does it say you are using? (the first line in the Video Card section)Also, look for the line DirectX Card-- what does it have there?
