Suggestion for a supermutant mod: aka be a supermutant

I was wondering, why there isn't a mod that allows you to be a supermutant?

We can be a ghoul, even using the console comands, so what about that?

Is true all the supermutants in fallout 4 wants to kill you, but what if we can have a quest that curse you with the FEV and we are forced to find a cure, or we can accept and deal with the FEV, with our permanent changes. Like beign strong, but having a lack of intelligence. Or stuff like that.

What do you think about it?

@signorNessuno

that is an excellent question, and thanks for asking it!

a lot of similar threads here and elsewhere wondered about that too,

particularly the enclave themed threads.

Especially for players who enjoyed FORPG or GURPS, where it was possible to play

as a ghoul, mutant, supermutant etc.

In FO4,

with the Institute main quest,

it is possible to omit to tell Virgil, that you found his serum...

if you do so, it clogs up an inventory slot...

just sitting there...

that could be one way to have a lore-friendly "in" to how the player character became a supermutant.

alternately, if the player starts with the enclave or institute,

the player character could be 'dipped from the start',

or accidentally-on-purpose fall in while skulking around the institute sealed area

(Father would have to deliver the grim news...

its terminal. The council has decided to end this, though I must protest!)

or as a raider, perhaps the player character is

a survivor from the Master's or Mariposa "first batch"?

(that would be one well-traveled supermutant!)

-----

I am positive that a mod such as that will emerge.

It'd be awesome to play as a supermutant, and react to

how different factions act towards supermutants.

That'd go great with a

"what if Virgil becomes head of The Institute" mod,

and Marcus and Fawkes journey to the Boston Wasteland,

who would take the cure?

would it be forcibly administered, or voluntarily?

would other factions try to steal a working FEV and make their own super-soldiers, again?

I think what it comes down to is the fact that you probably wouldn't be able to interact with 80% off the object in game, due to missing animations and stuff. Just being able to control a different character doesn't mean you can fully enjoy the game.

Look at the "play as a bot"-Mod. Yes, you can control a robot, but you can't sit down or enter pa, which brakes most quest. So a mod like this would require so much more work than you would imagine.

Too bad, but... what if we turned into a small supermutant? we are still like a human model, but not totally brute as the actual supermutant model?

So a basic reskin? Shouldn't be too difficult. But then again you basically loose the purpose, right?

i know, we just got a supermutant head on a human body. Similar to the "crime against nature" mod. But how could be possible, if the supermutants doesn't have animation for interact with the objects, like every human NPC? Even most of the weapons, considering that they use only heavy weapons or clubs.
