Cyngen80
Greeting community! I have a couple questions I hope can be answered. 1. Do I need permission from the mod author to make changes to a mod that I downloaded just for personal use?2. If I downloaded a follower pack that say for instance came with 9 different followers and I found that one of them didn't fit in with my world, could I delete that one without hurting the entire file? Hopefully that question makes sense?
BenevolentSpirit
I'd say you can edit a mod how ever you like after downloading it, I do it all the time. Uploading someone else's edited mod requires permission. Safest way to delete one of those followers would be to disable him/her in game via console
Novem99
1. No (as long as you don't publish the edited mod)2. Yes (you can easily do this with TES5Edit) Edited January 30, 2017 by Novem99
Kroekr
2. Just be careful if it is one of those mods where the followers interact with each other. May cause yourself script problems if you don't remove all references to them. Not sure how to do it though.
Skagens
As stated above, downloading a mod and changing it however you like is fine as I too do it all the time. Uploading the mod with your changes, however, requires permission from the author. When it comes to the follower question: just make sure the follower you wish to delete isn't essential or crucial to have in order for the mod to work. If there is a quest line or dialogue associated with the follower, it may cause problems if you don't delete the associated scripts and references. I'm pretty sure this can easily be done in CK (Creation Kit).
