How to make mods

Hi,

I'm currently using a body type that doesn't have much armor compatibility from other mods, so I was wondering if you know of a specific tutorial for taking existing armor and reworking it to fit on a different body.

Thank you

Would you please tell me where i could get the tools needed.

possibly for free.

Do you realize the article lists the programs by name and provides links to where they can be downloaded (noted by underlines)?

Hey, sorry if it's been covered somewhere but i was wondering if there was a tutorial for creating hair mods. I saw that some of the babe hair meshes were imported from files used in programs such as poser carara and daz studio. I have 3d hair files and want to import them into oblivion somehow, but i'm not not sure how to start.

I'd also want to know how to make hairs as items much like growlfs animated hair.

Thanks.

Hey there, I am trying to Edit armor/weapons in the game, I have Blender 3d and NIFskope, but I cant figure out how to Extract the NIF files and then Edit them, THEN re-pack them into a NIF file agian.

Can anyone help me out!

I assume that when you say "extract NIF files" that you are referring to getting them out of the BSA files.

Please read this article: How To Extract BSA Files Using BSA Commander

After you have access to the NIF models, you can use Blender (with the PyFFI and Blender NIF Scripts plugin) to import the NIF file, make your modifications (save in .blend format) and then export to .NIF format when ready to use in the game.

Here is another article which might be helpful: Importing / Exporting Armor in Blender - This shows you how to deal with rigged items by deleting the skeleton that came in with the imported NIF and importing a new skeleton in its place.
