Normals and specular not working properly.

I've been at this for several hours now and I can't figure out what the problem seems to be so I'm hoping somebody here can help.

The two swords above were textured the exact same way, yet one of them has working normals and the other has practically none. I have done everything I can think of to get the normals to show up on the sword on the left but I can't. Updated tangent space in .nif, made sure uv set was 4097 and has normals is set to yes, and there is a specular as an alpha in the normal map. Is there anything I'm possibly forgetting? I am new to the modding scene but have been modeling for a long time now. I have two swords that work perfectly and 3 swords that are like the one on the left and it seems to be completely random.

if you open a working one and a dud one in nifskope, turn off textures- render>settings you will see a tick box for textures... Does the geometry look the same or is there anything grey looking about the dud one? (you'd know straight away what I mean..)

Geometry looks fine, all shows up white if I turn off textures. Also to clarify I have completely remapped and retextured the sword giving me the problem and came out with the same results :X

 

Update:

 

Turning off "has vertex colors" made the normals show up at the cost of the diffuse map >.<

It's likely your shader flag setup in the BSLightingShaderProperty then. SF_Vertex_Color is probably necessary or not depending on your particular shader set up/ if it has vertex color. try flicking it on or off. If that does nothing try a different shader block... Edited by Ghogiel
