Zynoq
When i try to export my nifs i have made in Blender i get two error messages: cannot normalize vector [ 0.000 0.000 0.000 ] Check console and Phyton script error check console Does anyone know what that means or how i can make it work? SickleYield
You need to look at the python console and see what the error message is. It's the black window with text on it that is minimized while you're working in Blender. Also: what kind of .nif are you trying to export? Weapon? Armor? Static? Is it animated? SickleYield
Weird. I've actually never seen that one before. :D Are you using the latest version of the NIF scripts and PyFFI?
Zynoq
Yes im pretty sure i have. I've got them like last week. Is there anything i've might haven't crossed of in the export menu? I have the defualt settings for oblvion. It's after i've added the image file it doen't work. I think thats where the problem is.
SickleYield
Have you made sure the material's image type is set to UV (not the orco default)?
Zynoq
Yes i have. Are you sure that there isn't anything more i can have forgot?
SickleYield
Hm.. You shouldn't have been able to even start export without pressing ctrl+a, so you already have done that, right? How about normals, since it's complaining about vectors and tangent space? Try mesh--normals--recalculate outside and see if that helps.
LHammonds
You might actually want to turn on Normals and see what you have and where. It's possible you have two faces overlapping each other. F9 for Editing modCTRL+TAB+3 for face select modeClick "Draw Normals" on the tab labeled "Mesh Tools 1"...you might need to adjust the NSize value for easier identification. Also, try removing double verts (W, 6) and do another CTRL+A and CTRL+N to recalculate normals outside. LHammonds
SickleYield
Blender will export doubled verts and faces. I've done it many times, thus screwing up texture appearance horribly. :D It might be worth a try, though.
