Skyrim crashing a lot

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, whats up? So, first post and im already asking for help xD

The thing is, my skyrim is crashing a lot, in all kind of situations (be it in the middle of a battle, inside dungeons, outside dungeons, by fast travelling, entering/ leaving cities) and I cant find where the problem is. No warnings nor erros found by LOOT. I tried a lot of things, like cleaning master files, cleaning save datas, but nothing works, game keeps crashing like hell. Can anyone help me please?

My mod list and LOOT are here

sorry for any bad english

edit: by the way, im running the game on a laptop: i7 5500 (2,4 GHz), 8GB ram and GeForce 940m (2gb vram)

Hey Wormax, can you post your load order for your mods? Go to LOOt and click on the 3 dots in the upper right and copy your load order, then past it here.

Also, I suggest you locate the Crash Fixes mod on the nexus and like Novem99 suggested, get those tools he mentions and stabilize your game. Then I may look over your load order and see what should stay or go or if you have load order problems. Wet and Cold and Campfire are fine mods to have as long as you know how to use them and what order they should be in.

There are some list problems I've noticed that could cause issues.
1. Your load order should resemble this:
Skyrim
Update
Dawnguard
Hearthfires
Dragonborn
Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch <---get this instead of USKP+DLCS
Skyrim Project Optimization + DLC <--- you have legendary so make sure you have the legendary edition
[Other .esms]
HighResTexturePack1,2,3
Unofficial High Res Patch
[utility Mods] (things like SKSE Scripts, UI Extensions, papyrus util)
[All other .esps mods]
[Texture mods] (Mods that make skyrim look better)
[body Textures/Meshes] (Mods that make NPC or player look better)
FNIS
[Animation Mods]
XPMSE
Alternate Start
[Anything LOOT sorts after it]

2. I would go through your mods and reinstall them to reflect a change from USKP to legendary/USLEEP.
3. CoT and ELFX weather is a no no. Reinstall the mod and just don't check the weathers option.
4. Legacy of the Dragonborn is a very picky mod, a great mod, but picky. It had mods that work with it and I would not select many mods other than those unless you really know what you're doing with conflicts. Particularly it mentions conflicts with NPC/Town overhauls I believe, as well as with Animation mods/FNIS. This is likely a big culprit.
5. I would move Ragdolls and Force into your .esps mods section as listed above.
6. I am not sure Footprints is compatible with some of your other mods.
7. You Guard Overhaul is likely an NPC overhaul not working with Legacy of the Dragonborn nor any town editing mods you may want to use. Make sure it is compatible on those mod pages or ask.
8. Just as a general advice, when a mod alters certain scripts, even if it doesn't mention on its page that it is in conflict, it is best to just consider that if two mods share a similar outcome, it is best to only choose one. For example, two magic mods may be completely compatible, but if they don't mention as much anywhere on their mod page or in the posts section, then it is best to only use one of them until you find out for sure.

This ENBoost seems to have made the trick, five or so hours of gameplay and only a single crash (when i fast traveled from that dawnguard vampire castle to dragonsreach). Thanks a lot twiztedmongoloid and snelss0.

Still, Im getting this error message everytime i start my skyrim:

Hope its nothing that bad.
