VMessiah1 Posted February 5, 2017 Share Posted February 5, 2017 So I started playing Oblivion again after a few years just last week and for most of that time I've been trying to figure out the solution to a problem I've been having in the game. For some reason all of the stores are always closed and locked and never open and I've seen some of the NPC shopkeeps just wondering around the street. I'm not very tech savy and this is driving me nuts trying to figure out what's wrong. I've learnt it could be from a corrupt mod (I have downloaded about 40), or a problem with the expansions that's causing this, although I'm not sure what it is exactly. Possibly an issue with the NPC AI? I've seen other people have solved it by picking the lock to gain access and everything's then been as normal so I tried that, but the shop keeper wasn't at his place when it was opening hours and when I left I got arrested. :/ ....I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game a number of times and everything works as normal when it's just the vanilla Oblivion without any mods or DLC/expansions being used, but as soon as I add them again the problem resurfaces like clockwork.Any help with solving this would be greatly appreciated.
