rawr22
If I try an load any of my recent saves I get a CTD. I have to go back and load a specific older save, and then I can load the later saves fine. I have these saves:Save A <- Latest Save... other savesSave B... other saves This is what happens after I launch the game and the menu loads without any issues,Load Save A - CTDLoad any other save after Save B - CTDLoad Save B, then load any save after save B - no problemsLoad any save before Save B then load any save after Save B - CTD I hope this explains clearly enough. I have to load this specific save before I can load my latest game and continue with my game. It has only occurred recently, and I have not added or removed any mods before or after this save since the start of my game, almost 24 hours of gameplay ago. This save is in Freeside a couple of seconds after talking with Veronica and getting the quest 'I Could Make You Care'. I thought it may be to something to do with this quest, but I have since saved after completing this quest and the problem remains. Searching has revealed nothing on this problem. It's a rather odd issue and I have no idea where to start.
phoneyLogic
Have a look herehttp://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1208859-endless-loading-screen/page__view__findpost__p__18929113 Freeside is completely bugged. Pobably too many dead and living NPCs there. Edited January 20, 2012 by tortured Tomato
rawr22
Thanks tortured Tomato. I looks like some of those people have the same symptoms as me. Unfortunately it also looks like it's an issue caused by 1.4 and can't be resolved at my end, so no more New Vegas for me. I'm pretty sure it's not related to Freeside though, as I went back to an earlier save where everything was fine and the issue re-occurred about the same time, this time without saving in Freeside. phoneyLogic
Try to take the other route to the Strip.Use the Mono Rail or the Map marker which ports you directly in front of the Strip. You also can try the Map Marker I made for the Striphttp://www.newvegasn...le.php?id=44989 Just avoid Freeside some time. There's a chance that after a certain time (uncertain ingame period) you can enter Freeside again. rawr22
Well against my better judgement I decided to start a new game after a completely fresh install. After about 5-6 hours into the game the exact same issue reoccurred, and I haven't even been to Freeside or The Strip yet. I give up.

This is no option, I don't want to hear this words anymore. But you may have a specific hardware or software issue. I'd suggest to go here:http://support.bethsoft.com/eng/products.aspand write an email to the support. They most likely can help.
