I would have no issues with reporting people requesting child-pr0n mods to the authorities, though I doubt anything can or would be done.

Child predators need to take an arrow in the knee...and the head. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif

Ok, no probs, maybe I over reacted.

You have no right to object to other people creating the mods they wish to use. You are not harmed or injured in any way by their existence.

The mods are completely optional and you are in no way required to use them, so simply avoid the content you don't like.

I agree. Too many people are jumping on the moral high-horse these days. Now, that said, child porn is a different thing, if a member of these sites explicitly asks for a nude children mod or something of that ilk, report the mod/comment, and let the staff deal with it. They may or may not agree with you but without user reporting legally questionable stuff, the moderator team is pretty much powerless and they are volunteers and do not actively browse the site for content that violates the ToS.

Moral high ground? What's moral about depicting children in sexy clothes like the schoolgirl uniform on the Oblivion site and now schoolgirl clothing on the Skyrim site? It's sick.

The moderators don't vet every upload? Then they are not doing their job properly. The saddest thing is that people endorse these mods....go figure.

Reading comprehension? Or rather, lack of it?

To quote myself:

"I agree. Too many people are jumping on the moral high-horse these days. Now, that said, child porn is a different thing"

Try to interpret the whole sentence, if it is not too troublesome for you before jumping down someone's throat.

As to your berating the moderators for not vetting every upload, again read carefully the sentence you are trying to reply to:

"without user reporting legally questionable stuff, the moderator team is pretty much powerless and they are volunteers"

Volunteer = they are doing it in their free time. You might consider scaling your expectations down a bit in the light of this simple fact. If they were paid staff and this was a pay site you may have the right to call them laggards.

Not sure if trolling, yeah.

People release schoolgirl uniforms all the time. It's hard to view it as literally having to do with young girls when it's mostly an overplayed porn trope. Playable children mods are common for Bethesda games, and while I don't agree with what you could possibly do with them, you could similarly do some pretty messed up stuff with content available in the game already. If the mod made playable, nude children... well, that's different.

Guess that's what I get for being alarmist. Oh well.

I have playable child race! Lol, and I'm not a pervert. I just watch too many adventure movies with child protagonists XD

There is nothing wrong with having a playable children mod. Having a mod to play with children however...

the question is about responsability really i think.

modders are given the means to produce almost everything in this game.

if you mod the game to your personal desires without uploading to the public

it stays private and you can do whatever you want imho.

if you upload your mod on the net

it's a different ball game.

the tools bethesda gave us (and will hopefully give us when the CK is around) are NOT meant

for your personal pleasure, they are given to make Skyrim a better game for the community.

i can hardly imagine how more nudity or other kinkyness enhances gameplay. beth -edit : and the nexus /edit- should imho ban it.

-edit : or at least can we add a negative endorsement to such mods?/edit

Who decides (and who is arrogant enough to claim the right to decide) what makes Skyrim a better game for the community? In my opinion, the only person you are entitled to speak for is yourself.
