Esben, can't hear him and he won't open the door.

Hi! I'm very frustrated with Bethesda for realeasing such an incomplete game. I have found a huge amount of bugs and anomalies that is pathetic. I have started the game 3 times now, why? because picking a book, "Arcana Restored" broke the quest altogether, Companion Aela sent me twice to the same place for Animal Extermination culminating with a bounty on my head because I had to break a lock to get in the house. How can a huge bear open the Solitude City gates, go and open a house door to get in is beyond understanding. Duplicate assignments happened with others also. Skjorta was killed, I'm name the Harbinger and then he shows up alive and calls me a whelp. If I don't become a Companion Wearwolf no job assignments are given. Becoming a Wearwolf forces Skjorta death. Now I'm trying to get to Esben in the Ratway but I can't hear what he says and he won't open the door. I set subtitles "on" but whatever he comunicates just flashes by, not allowing any reading. I waited a while in front of the door but he will not open it. I used "tcl" but once inside he won't talk to me anyways. These are just some of the things that I've been throught with this game and then top it of with the annoying Steam Machine cluttering the hard disk with all kinds of un-neaded files. If some one has been able to fix the Esben problem, please let me know. Many thanks in advance.

Dude,just google Skyrim Esbern fix. There are a lot of fixes out there already.

Hi Dingen! Many thanks for your reply, appreciated. I found a better solution in the Skyrim Nexus. Delete both: Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs. Start the game, all the missing sound tracks will be loaded then.
