gretzky99
Come on, Bethesda...bring out the CK already!
Thasic
Yeah. That and player character save games. I can make my own PC. If someone is good with the character generator they should enhance the NPCs in the game. Some of them are a bit gruesome.

VictoriaG
I actually think the number of mods is great considering we have no CK, they are free and nobody forces you to download them.
Thasic
I don't think anyone is denigrating the efforts of the people that are so kindly modding. I think the point is the abundance of a single type of mod. We all know this is due to the lack of the CK. We are merely stating a desire to see something a bit more elaborate and hope the CK arrives soon so that desire can be realized.
InAComaDial999
There are a lot of mods that go beyong simple retexturing. But it will be nice when the CK comes out, to be able to make those into new items instead of just reskinning existing ones. E.g. t the moment I really want the CK so I can make the Dragonhood into a separate item rather than a reskin/remesh of the dragonscale helmet. stars2heaven
Well for me, yest and no. I'd love to start seeing more complex magic, combat, and general overhaul mods but I haven't yet re-textured everything in my game. Though I'm sure that there are new textures for everything by now, I am not very satisfied with a great many and so a great many things in my game are still vanilla textures. So, I'm still hoping for someone to create texture mods that I do like as I have no skill at all to do that sort of thing myself. xleileix
Yeah. That and player character save games. I can make my own PC. If someone is good with the character generator they should enhance the NPCs in the game. Some of them are a bit gruesome. But modifying other characters in the game is much more complex than making level 1 characters. Even with the currently released NPC editor it's very cumbersome and difficult (and I want to emphasize that I'm not knocking the person who made it either, to make it at all must have been a time consuming and required more effort and knowledge than I have. It's just not as sophisticated as I hope the CK will be). Also, it's great that *you* can make your own characters, but a lot of other people are less talented at it. thesapien
I'm not having the same trouble finding many other types of mods. There's quite a few. It's pretty impressive really. Kudos to those modders. Have you tried the recently popular Wars in Skyrim that really changes how you play while traveling? Oh, wait, I think it might come with a couple of textures. Ganon2020
The only types of re-textures I don't like are the ones where you can barely see a difference.Meaning you have to really strain yourself, looking at compare screenies.Or, where someone takes a texture and just blows it up, without adding anymore detail to it.A blown up texture is just a blown up texture. Meaning there's no more detail, but since it's a larger file, it now damages my FPS, with no real improvement. Now don't get me wrong, I admire the effort put into every mod, but sometimes I see a re-texture of a texture that was fine as is.My point is, I don't think things should be re-textured simply for the sake of re-texturing it. Now, I don't mean to offend anyone, so I'm sorry if I sound harsh.
