Yo guys. This is my first time around the forums. I was wondering if someone could turn THIS outfit into an armor mod.

Doesn't have to look exact or anything, but I've been really hoping someone would make this for Oblivion. The closest thing I can find is the metal gear stealth gear mod but it's not that close. Anyway, whoever does this, I give you a million thanks.

I have a Batman mod in the works (with Jannix Quinn) but it is on the backburner at the moment and it isn't the same era as yours.

Woah dude that looks awesome. I don't really care that it's not on the same era or anything, but if you could get it done and post it up would be great. Hope this motivates lol. How much more do you need to get done? Hope you get the time to finish it.

The biggest hurdle is going to be the mask. I have a very nicely-shaped mask but the poly-count is way too high.

The best solution would be to re-create from scratch but I'm trying to stick with my bigger mods to get them released first and then come back to the smaller mods and crank them out.

you could release the high poly one you have now :) for us users that have PCs that can handle it, and a low poly ver. for those who cant...

i wouldnt waste all that work!

I don't think you get it. The problem is that it is TOO high-poly. I got the mask from a freebie site and it was never designed for game usage. It was designed for taking very close-up screenshots. It is very difficult to manipulate because there are at least two layers everywhere and that is one extra layer than necessary for games and makes it difficult to make changes such as being able to move the neck around to conform to the chest / neck area regarding rigging. There are plenty of reasons why I have not yet released this mask...you'll just have to trust my judgment on it.

LHammonds is right. You can't just take a high poly model such as that and port it into the game, as our gaming rigs would not be able to handle that kind of processing. (Ever noticed Starcraft and Warcraft III, which had the pre-rendered cutscenes?) This is why we have something called Normal Mapping; make a low-poly model look like a high-poly model through a bunch of math stuff and lighting effects while maintaining a decent framerate. Combine it with HDR and AA, and you have the typical next generation game scene.

What he has to do first, if I understand correctly, is to optimize the mesh for use in a game, Then he has to rig it for use with Oblivion's animations. This takes time, patience, and a bottle of Jack Daniels to do.
