Amaventhine
I've recently encountered a very annoying problem that keeps me from properly modding Skyrim. Whenever I try to activate / install (tried both) a mod with NMM, everything goes normally (even scripted installers), but after the installation is finished, the ESP doesn't show up in the plugin section and the mod does not show up ingame. Additionally, once I close and restart Nexus Mod Manager, the mods are deactivated again.Manually installed mods, and mods that were installed prior to encountering this error work just fine. Thanks in advance for any response.
saurusmaximus
I would try reinstalling NMM.
Deleted23328924User
Maybe it helps if you try the "Load Order Optimisation Tool" called LOOT https://loot.github.io/It shows you which mod doesn't work and the reason for it. And with "TES5Edit" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/? you can clean the "faulty" mods. ( TES5Edit Cleaning Guide: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=TES5Edit_Mod_Cleaning_Tutorial ) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and maybe someone has another / better solution.
WastelandAssassin
did you reinstall the game when the problem started?maybe NMM has Skyrim set in a different folder or something?worth checking at the very least...... what happened that caused the problem? or what did you do that led to this problem occurring? Amaventhine
I've used both of them, and reinstalled the manager, none of them helped. The Skyrim directory it has is correct, so that isn't the problem either. Not much I did before it occured, I just tried to install something at some point and it stopped working. Uninstalling a mod leads to it having the same problem (aka not being reinstallable). Uninstalling a mod leads to it having the same problem (aka not being reinstallable).I started modding skyrim a few weeks ago. Went with NMM and just ended with so many issues. Reinstalled skyrim and tried two more times, having to reinstall over 60 mods each time. My car broke down.. I lost my job... My wife left me and took the kids. I started smoking crack.. Then I downloaded Mod Organizer, I made the switch and never looked back. Life is great.
WastelandAssassin
Honestly , don't recall such problems in the past , nor have I really heard of such cases being solvedI use Mod Organizer mostly , so I would recommend that if you can make the switch , you should otherwise , it may be something with your NMM installation or somethingreally have no idea , so can't really think of anything to really help hereif reinstalling NMM from fresh doesn't help , maybe someone else here can have a more interesting ideahope you do manage to solve this , and if you do , please post what the problem was , and how you've solved it
