Tank0123
After having played the 28 Days Zombie mod, I always wondered how that sort of scripting formula could be applied elsewhere. Here is my idea, in a nutshell. Actually, I'm looking for any mod like what I am going to describe, so please, share. What if you could make the cities fight each other, much like they are said to have during the Infernal City novel? What if the Daedra/Thalmor invaded, conquering city after city? I know the addition of Thalmor at this point in the Elder Scrolls timeline would be against canon, but then so is the addition of zombies. Besides, Skyrim gives me few opportunities to actually fight them anyway. And maybe the Daedra could start ravaging the countryside, destroying the cities? I think the destruction of cities (making more "Kvatchs") would be awesome. 28 Days does this, to an extent, but to literally make the cities like Kvatch would be breathtaking. With such a mod, you would be able to fight alongside the Empire against this new threat. Or, if you were to make a Civil War sort of mod, then maybe you could side with a particular city. Anything of this nature floating around the Nexus? Anyone? If not, discuss. AnimalRiot
Short answer: nope. Nice idea, though. Faction tension in Oblivion is just too bland. It would be nice to have some kind of faction conflict like in Morrowind. But your idea also reminds me of Mount and Blade: Warband. I think they implemented it well in that game. Lanceor
Unless it was a rush-job, a mod of that scope would probably take over a year to produce... but I happen to have been working on something big for the past 12 months. ;) It will involve a plot to destroy the Empire and will feature the destruction of an entire city. (Though to prevent quests breaking and mod conflicts, it's necessary that the city gets repaired at the end of the quest.) While the cities won't fight each other, formerly friendly factions becoming enemies. This might be somewhat close to what you're looking for. No ETA on when it will be finished, but it's currently about 80% done. :)
