NiMiTz882
I don't know what's wrong with me at this point. I can't seem to beat the game. I can't seem to figure out what I want to play. First it's the sneaky archer type who 1-shots everything. Then it's the sword and board tank type character. Then it's the mage who loots all the herbs and ruined books. Then it's the typical nord who does nothing but swing 2 handers. Then it's a hunter character I RP. Highest level I've ever gotten was 26-27. at this point I'm half tempted to just rush through the main story @_@ I can't be the only one like this? I simply said to myself that i wont play the game atleast a half year or a year untill some good mods wont come out and rebalance the whole game plus add some interesting features. EDIT: I was also half way trough the main quest but got bored so i never finished it. Edited January 22, 2012 by pavy
pastafrola
It happens to me too. I tried a lot of builds and only two were not "boring enough". In my case I made a list of archetypes I've played in others RPG (single and multiplayer) then picked the ones I enjoyed the most and merged them in one build. pekkape
I had some problems then as well, gained to many none combat skills but then I focused at marksman and used a companion + Conjuring and it all went easier. I always play one char only, so I master everything with it and now I am lvl 70.Just do quests and enjoy the game, it is best so. :)
Cyrotek
Played now around 7 characters and got bored with them all pretty fast (ok, 1 managaed it to get to lvl 50, the others are all between 30 and 40). No idea, i did play Oblivion for weeks with one single character, in Skyrim i get bored after 3 days >.>. I personally think its mostly because the game is ways too easy. Iam playin now on master with PISE, Wars in Skyrim and Deadly Dragons, its still ways too easy above lvl ~45. Guess the Mobscaling stops around that Levelrange or something like that. Matth85
That's a TES game for you.140 houres, 3 characters, not done more than the first part of the main quest, not finished with the Dark Brotherhood and just getting close to the end of the Thieves Guild.I could push in another 100 houres if I wanted too
NiMiTz882
Good to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. I know in Skyrim you can do anything and everything as the game allows. But I suppose I'm stuck in the old oblivion mind-set of "YOU WILL PICK THIS TYPE OF BUILD AND YOU WILL PLAY THIS AND ONLY THIS" Examples being Pure Sword and BoardorPure Mage. chanchan05
I'm not sure the trouble is beating the game, or you more concerned with your character archetype. Seems like you're beating the game fairly well. Other people have some idea of making things more difficult by putting handicaps on their game play, like not using ANY enchantments, or just using stuff they find, or not using smithing at all, no fast travels, etc. Maybe think of a handicap for yourself?
