hyperk3
Hey a while ago i had a little exsperience with some armor. i had gotten my hands on some "her-hands" armor. my armor that i was wearing was like all bonemold i think. so i go and check the armor rating for her-hands armor (sincei sucked at heavy it was pretty low) it had an armor rating of about 37 each which beated my 26 per piece so i put it on. BUT when i transfered all my bonemold with the new high-ordinator armor my rating went down from like 25 to like 22. So i checked again and it said the armor rating of the ordnator armor was like 2465 or something really high like that  i click of the menu check again ands its normal but my armor rating is still lower than before even though my armor is better. Anyone got any clues or even follow that??
Slaiv
Ummmmm....no, if you meant your post I could not follow it at all. But you have to check what your amour proficiencies are. The bonemold is medium [i think], so you probably have high efficiency in it. if you don;t have a very good proficiency, then the armour rating is worthless and will be very small when you wear it. same thing for weapons-if you have a high axe skill rating, and a miniscule sword one, and you try to wield a swordm you will rarely hit the enemy and it will do little to no damage. tmons78
If I understand this correctly, you switched from a medium armor (Bonemould) to a heavy armor (Her Hand's). If that is the case, then I would check your skill levels for each one. If your medium armor skill level is considerably higher than your heavy armor skill, then you are going to have a better overall armor rating wearing medium armor. My suggestion is to train your heavy armor skill so that you can reap the benefits of the good armor class the Her Hand's armor has.
hyperk3
Well i know that you need to be good at the type of armor which i wasn't as good at heavy as medium but since her-hands is so much better it said on the item had like a 37 rating and my bonemold had like 26 which SHOULD make my total AR go up but insted it went down. Almelexia
If you are better on medium armor then heavy armor then medium will be better of course. But with the bug i dont realy know it has happened soemthing likely to me once but it just standed for a second or two strange
Raizok
My armorrating is 287 i think, i use daedric, randagulf and Dragenbone...
Switch
Riiight but what does that have to do with the thread Raizok? Also Almelexia if you could actually make your posts understandable I'm sure people would appreciate it ;) Anyway, even if the armour rating of the heavy armour is better than the medium, if you have a greater medium armour skill than heavy the AR when you put it on will still be lower than if you wore medium. It's wierd, but that's how it works...
saldrex
For me the overall armor ratining is affected by the condition and that when it is fully repaired only then will it work at the rating that is shown when you examine it. If it is dammaged no matter what the armor claims to be my overall is lowered. If you repair the armor it should be better than your bonemold. Dr. Corbett
Saldrex appears to be 1 and ... well, nothing with his percentage of good points. That armour is clearly bashed up and needs to be repaired. It had happened to me once; as the ebony armour in the Redoran vaults is completely smashed up!
