theophantus
Well you don't know that there is even a problem with UAC yet, trust me you need it on. If there is a problem it will let you know. Unless it's Bill Gates that comes in here, don't listen to them. They're just trolling. Where are you at right now? Hi GrindedStone. I've just un-installed the game. Going to re.-install it in the default folder which is C.:/ programme files (x86) and turn down all the graphic settings to there lowest settings, to see if it is the video card. Someone mentioned that they had a similar problem with intel cards. Just waiting for him to respond in my post. Said he Dowloaded 3dd9.dll that fixed his problem. Just trying to find out what that is.
GrindedStone
Stay away from d3d9. It's outdated, an that was used for FNV to trick the engine into thinking we had lesser older video cards, tricking the system into a older render mode. You shouldn't need anything grapically. Running Vegas on medium is like running Fallout 3 on high.

I did the following: Installed the game to © Program Files (x86) Bethesda Softworks, Fallout3. Right clicked Fallout3. Clicked on Troubleshoot compatibility. Clicked troubleshoot programme. Ticked the box "the programm worked in earlier versions of windows but won't run" Picked windows XP (service pack 3) Clicked: Start the program Clicked yes to " do you want to allow the following program to make changes on this computer" Black screen CTD " a problem caused the program to stop working correctly" "close program" Any other ideas?
