dpgillam
I have Morrowind, Final Fantasy 7 and Neverwinter Nights.I can modify so that I dont need to load the FF7 disks. Is there a way to do the same with Morrowind, so that I can just keep NWN in the CD drive, and have all 3 ready when ever I want to play? iXenite
Apparently you can just use an .iso creator and Virtual Clone Drive to run the game without a disc. Or you could just buy it on Steam or GOG. I've never created a .iso before, so I'm not sure this is even the right program - but this seems to be the type of thing you'll need. PeterMartyr
Daemon Tools Lite is free, will make the ISO or a Virtual Image of some sort & mount it too. Google is your friend, I am not brave enough to link it. But it's one of better above board, Imaging Program around. To the Mods I don't condone miss use of the above Software. He clearly own the disks. I'm only trying to help. I'm assuming that it okay, if you own the disks, in privacy of your own home. To mount a Image that you legally own. It like unauthorized port to SkyrimSE. People help other people to this for personal use. Just delete or edit the post to suite your needs... & PM me with slap on the wrist, if you must? The OP clearly states they legally own the game, so I would imagine that modifying it for your own personal use should be perfectly fine. You are making me a bit nervous for posting a link though! Surilindur
Someone posted about a tiny little hex edit that allegedly removes the CD check in the Morrowind Code Patch comments thread some time ago. Here is a link to the post: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/73004-morrowind-code-patch/?p=26626844 However I have no idea if it actually works, never tested it myself. A virtual disc of sorts would probably be a better option, too, since that one would probably be more likely to work and should even allow you to install the game from it (at least the discs I have created have worked for installation as well if I remember correctly). The Steam version of Morrowind can be a bit finicky at times to put it mildly. I have not tried the GOG version. Better safe than sorry, I think there is a chance for misinterpretation in this topic. And it's pushing the limit, so I just wanted to be clear. The fact that we still here, speaks for it self.
