Although "Skyrim LOTR" isn't the official project title it's here as a placeholder for what's to come.

 

[sTORY, DETAILS, INFORMATION]

 

We are a new upcoming team from the Skyrim modding community that strives to make an awesome middle-earth

experience built within Skyrim's engine.

 

The story will be away from canon but within the lore of middle-earth, we'll do our best to create the most

epic, exciting, and memorable story. It will not be the LOTR story but another middle-earth event that will make for an

awesome and immersive experience.

I can do Voice Acting and Writing.

But there is one problem with your project, Maybe you are aware of it or maybe you are not.

 

About 11 years ago a team of friends started working on a project for Morrowind called Middle Earth Roleplay aka "MERP" But a few years later Warner Bros managed to get a cease and desist order against them and their project after 8 years of hard work, Everything lost. And it was so beautiful, I followed the project for many years and was deeply saddened because of what happened. Eventually, they encountered another issue, That maps larger than the size of Skyrim were impossible! >_< Not sure if they fixed this issue before Warner Bros shut them down.

 

Can your project be kept safe from C&D?

 

Currently, I am trying to start a project of my own, A new companion for Skyrim, I love writing stories, I am a singer so voice acting is a no brainer ofcourse (but not everyone has a nice voice for voice acting even if you're a singer, So I am still awaiting feedback to see if my voice will be suitable for the companion!)

 

 

I really love LOTR, So I truly hope you pull this mod off before the next TES releases! :'D I'd love to give it a thorough playthrough ;_)

Models look impressive, and I like the direction you're taking. The biggest issue I can see you running into has already been mentioned, namely copyright infringement, so I'm glad to see you're taking the necessary steps to deal with that. (hopefully it works out!) Other than that I wish you the best of luck; many have attempted to build the entirety of Middle Earth since I joined the Nexus, here's hoping yours succeeds.
