Make Mama Murphy's chair serve a function.

I was thinking somebody could add an knitting animation to it, and have it produce cloth. That way Mama Murphy could actually be useful in her own way, and it would seem like she's being productive by knitting clothes for everyone.

 

What do you guys think? I think all you would have to do is animate the arm and hands, and then have her hold what looks like a pair if knitting needles with yarn in it.

 

I mean, she's a old lady and all, but it annoys me how I have her as one of the lazy slackers who doesn't even do anything on my settlement after I do all of her quests. If we had her doing an task that was suited for old ladies to do... then she wouldn't seen so useless.

yeah, that would be pretty awesome.

knitting and reminiscing or passing on her knowledge and ways at a local "Books" or at the Town Hall... hehe.

but, Mama Murphy could do so much more...

 

of course, it would be awesome to restore some of the concept art for FO4 and FO3...

make Mama Murphy's chair instance be the Automa-throne instead,

and allow Mama Murphy to be a recruitable companion... well, her throne anyways hehe.

 

or, she could become a RoboBrain, or a Synth... 'we have the technology'.

Maybe Kellogg is intrigued by Mama Murphy? they have something, maybe they can have a relationship or they don't hehe.

Mama Murphy is one of my favorite FO4 characters!

she's a little like Lily Bowen from FONV.

I sent Mama Murphy to the Old Folks Home settlement near Lexington.

there, she could rebuild a place for older citizens, and is very close to The Switchboard,

where Mama Murphy's "professor X"/"foresight" powers may come in handy.

 

I think Mama Murphy is a lot like Harold - she's a traveling peace-bringer,

and something of a stochastic factor. A meddler to some,

but usually karmic good. She wanders the wasteland and helps out...

I think there is more in common with Harold than that.

Maybe, there is a history between Mama Murphy and Hancock too...

Mama Murphy is a diplomat of sorts, and would maybe be on a few City-State councils etc.

 

Mama Murphy's foresight allowed me to non-violently apprehend and return a damaged Synth courser,

who I'd like to think, would ultimately be able to join the BoS or the Railroad... that is a win-win.

the synth is taken without harm, no-one else has to die, and the synth gets to retain their individuality and escape the SRB,

all thanks to Mama Murphy.

Mama Murphy's intel helped me to avoid conflict in FO4, especially by telling me where to find the secret entrance to the Federal Ration Depot.

and what codes for hacking ahead of time... hehe.

so, I wouldn't want to sideline Mama Murphy, if she didn't have dementia and wanted to be a citizen, 2280s can't afford ageism.

 

I'd like Cait to rehabilitate Mama Murphy, so that Mama Murphy doesn't OD.

but, I'd also like for Mama Murphy to retain her 'powers', and I don't think she needs substances to use her powers.

Mama Murphy is a mutant, or an experiment of some kind... and that must be a safeguard

that those who made Mama Murphy put on her, to protect themselves from a prescient being...

they contained Mama Murphy via 'the cassandra effect/'druggie' effect" - who would believe a chem-addict?

maybe, a placebo could be used, or it could be transferred to a less-harmful substance.

Dr Virgil or Dr Li might be able to help.

 

Imagine if The Master had obtained and added Mama Murphy's mind to the overmind?

a prescient Master would be very evil indeed...

If Mama Murphy is a mutant, the Enclave would despise her, and the BoS would always keep an interest in her...

 

Mama Murphy would mainly rehabilitate P.A.M.

I think, if P.A.M. realized her 'brother/s" I.A.M or I.M.A.M. were involved in 2077...

I would want to place P.A.M. on a 'suicide watch' for a while.

Very few people could prevent P.A.M. from meltdown. Aside from being an awesome robot and sentient being,

P.A.M. has information that could help the wasteland...

If P.A.M. doesn't want to volunteer that information before her untimely passing, she would take with her the last source of pre-war information on some things... so, in a way, it would be like inflicting a 2077 again...

 

KLEO, Mama Murphy, Stockton, Nick Valentine, Danse, Jack Cabot, Mr House, Sturges, the hacker from Diamond City, etc...

they'd be able to help P.A.M. overcome that grief or existential crisis.

 

Mama Murphy might also be a kingpin of the UnderBoston,

or know about it's secrets and maps.

Heh, you have a higher opinion of Mama Murphy than I do. I didn't really need her help in my walk-though, although I thanked her for her tip on diamond city.

 

I don't know about all those other ideas you have... I'd just be happy with a knitting chair.
