any way to convert female hair to male hair?

I am wanting to create a male character with long hair, having HDT Physics. I found out that KS Hairdos HDT is for males only, and I can't find any HDT Physics hair for males.

I don't know hat the difference is between male and female hair meshes are, I guess maybe male and female heads are different sizes?

I was going to make a custom race and allow it to choose female hair, however that doesn't seem to be an option (or maybe I don't know what I am doing).

So I am wondering, is there any way to convert a female hair mesh to male? Or how difficult would it be to take an existing male hair mesh, and give it HDT Physics?

For personal use only, you may be able to alter it in TesVEdit or the CK as male useable. Not sure about it though.
