SynchronousFailure
hey guys, i was playing Skyrim earlier today, left to go out, just quit skyrim (left computer on and everything nothing in use)any way now i cant launch skyrim it says error code 51, also i run it through steam and have vista, any help would be much appreciated I have the exact same error, only that it started once I updated to 1.4 from the beta. Verifying the integrity of the game cache and defragging it doesn't work. All of my mods are updated as is SKSE. I combed for old, leftover files (got rid of a few) and deactivated all my mods. No luck so far...
nosisab
If nothing else changed, I believe the answer may be the script dragon is used and not updated yet there, although the message should be different. Let's let someone else knowing about this specific issue coming to shed a light if it is not the mentioned case. Doc6666
Have the same problem, when it started to load a message came up about a steam update completed. Did the verify cache and all that and still error code 51. Also tried dropping out of the beta update with the same result. Doc6666
Just tried it with same result Same here. Launching the game by clicking directly on the .exe results in: "Application load error 3:0000065432"I got that error too. I went through the block non-microsoft stuff in their fixes and that didn't fix it. I tried to get to the Steam support and I didn't have an account. My email forwarding is going through a slow period so I can't get into that yet. The steam client had a long upgrade but it still has it after finishing. Plus it isn't just Skyrim, Dragon Age II and New Vegas all have the 51 error.

Biggus2209
I got this error after updating to the latest nvidia beta driver. Had to roll back to the last one, and it miraculously works again.
