Hello, i'm sure i'm not the first to think of this but when i'm walking through the commonwealth i keep looking up at the skyscrapers and wondering how great it would be to re purpose one as a grand shining beacon of re-growth. sorry to be a little dramatic there.

 

raider, gunners and even the railroad have re-purposed theses pre-war towers so why not the good settlers of the common wealth.

 

I'm aware there are many a mod that adds player homes into towers but i myself am a fan of full settlements and i was wondering whether this idea would even be possible.

Yes we are working on something just like this with Snappy HouseKit, currently doing 3ds work to add glass and redo the collisons and navcut, it is not going to be long but not soon, couple months away. but once it is out you can use it with build high expanded settlements and build your lag monster of a skyscrapper. ;)

there are a few ways to build player-settlements in scrap-scraper locations.

it will depend on your overall vision, if you want prewar or are happy with scrap-tacular stuff etc.

 

 

 

You can have a player-settlement at "The Hub",

at Mass Fusion Tower,

at Greenetech Labs

or near the Hospital in the East etc,

or at that nice Hotel near the Shamrock Inn

or you can alternately use place anywhere and some other mods,

to make your settlement anywhere you'd like.

 

from there, I think you'll enjoy;

GreekRage, DDProductions, and DarthWayne's stuff, to name a few.

you can make your settlement in a scrap-scraper be on a large, moving "elevator", replete with deployable helipad.

or, you could make an "institute" themed high-tech tower,

or you could make a static scrap-scraper

 

Me personally? I'm not looking to add too much realestate to low-framerate zones,

though that large black tower near the South Boston Checkpoint,

that'd make a great Enclave building me-thinky
