chanchan05
In Skyrim, the challenge and fun isn't about getting the best gear. In fact I found myself dumping my Dragonscale set in favor of the more bad-ass looking Nightingale set. Skyrim is about the experience and the open world and living in the game. You don't look at your level, you don't really look at the questlines IMO, just make your choices as if you were really there. Granted that the game is still lacking a lot in terms of interaction (AC series is still better in terms of interaction with the game's world, let alone some of the other greater games), but the open-ness of the game is what makes me like it really. TaranTatsuuchi
If you're concerned about having too easy of access to items you could always refrain from making stuff with blacksmithing, heck I've seen threads where people set lots of different restrictions to make it more 'hardcore'. Stuff like 10~30% of carry weight, no potions in battle, only using manual saves before resting and only using auto saves in the event of a crash, no fast travel, master difficulty, 0% HUD, requirement of 8 hours of sleep per game day, must eat 5% of your health value in food per day, limited arrows 30ish, etc... gsmanners
This is what potions are for. You take a fortify alchemy set of jewelry and make potions to fortify smithing. Then use those potions to make your gear. Then make potions to fortify enchanting and use them to do your enchanting.
