chillshock
Hi, I am running quite a lot of mods once again. And I'd like to know: if I don't want things to apear in the leveled lists - can I avoid it by just deleting the *LLinjector.pex files from the data/scripts directory, or will that just blow up in my face? Thanks *edit*Tried it. Let me just say: Don't unless you are absolutely sure you can. The ru556 - you can just remove that one and it works. The others broke my settlers. Greslin
Yeah, I don't think it's as simple as just deleting scripts. They're all tied to Quest records, all of which expect those scripts to be there. CTDs for everyone! I'm not a particular fan of weapon injectors, though I understand their place and value. I just personally have other ideas about when and where weapons should make their appearances in my game, and so I prefer to reconcile the leveled lists by hand in FO4Edit. To do that, I'll load the mods in FO4Edit and delete the injector Quest record, and then create new LL lists by hand that I can reconcile in collective patches. Then I can safely delete the script. If you don't have any idea what any of the above means, leave the injectors alone and then go peruse the FNVEdit Training Manual. (FO4Edit is just the FO4 version of the same tool.) That'll teach you everything you need to know about the finer details of this stuff.
chillshock
Thanks for that detailed description. Sadly I kind of know what it means, as that was the first thing I tried. But then again... having >30 weapon and armor mods and doing this every time one of them gets an update. Seems tedius. I was hoping for a cruder way that I could write in a bat file. ;)
Greslin
Yeah, I sympathize. I feel the same way when I look at my save files in Fallrim ReSaver and see all those inject scripts just sitting there, taking up space.
jc9542
Yeah, I sympathize. I feel the same way when I look at my save files in Fallrim ReSaver and see all those inject scripts just sitting there, taking up space. Just delete the quest instead of the script. I use merged esps for weapons, armor/clothes, and workshop items. I generally just delete the injector quests before merging because I prefer to retain control over where in the leveled items lists things go.
