  1. 1. Should there be an additional file category called Animation?

EDIT:

Poll closed. Animation category added.

As of midnight, both polls total in at 58 votes total. Only one vote is negative which brings us to a resounding score of 98% for the creation of an animation category. Since I already agree with this and have found no feedback that says this to be a bad idea, I'm considering this poll closed (although you can still vote if you feel like it). I have created an "Animation" category under Oblivion at TESNexus.

Currently, animation-only mods are forced to the "miscellaneous" category and if search tags are used, they can be found with the "Animation New" or "Animation Modified" tags.

I know of just over 20 mods that are exclusively just about animations and that number is on the rise.

Do you think a file category should be created that is dedicated to just animation mods now?

Duplicate poll being run at The Official Forums

Now, are there any animations that were created for Morrowind? From what I remember, I have not seen any animations being released for Morrowind since I have been using TESSource / TESNexus which means it would be silly to create a category for it unless I find evidence to the contrary.

This might be a stupid question - are Morrowind and Oblivion animations compatible? I know original Oblivion animations couldn't be used in Morrowind because of legal reasons, but user created animations don't have anything to do with Bethesda as they aren't made using TESCS.

Xeniorn, I seriously doubt it. I do not have Morrowind but from what I can tell, the player skeletons were completely different and these animations are completely driven by the skeletal bone structure.

I was actually thinking about creatures and creature animations, so user created and user animated creatures from Oblivion could be used in Morriwnd and vice versa.
