It would help to know more about what problem you are having or what it is you are trying to do. For example, are you having a problem figuring out how to create a new .esp file in xEdit? Are you having difficulty figuring out how to put your mod on Nexus? Please provide more detail as to what you are attempting and where you are having a problem. That will make it easier to determine what information you are needing in order to proceed.

Trying to create a new file. I also have no idea how I would go about putting it on Nexus so that would also help. The mod/patch would be just altering values of a mod that already exists, so would I have to somehow copy the details of said mod into the new one?

well first you need permission from the author then you need to explain what you are trying to change.

Mod author has it stated that anyone is welcome to make a patch. It's for Heavy Armory.

As long as it's for personal use that's fine - but you can't change sombody else's mod and upload to the nexus.

You need to create your own esp to amend the other mod. But you will need to use tesvedit to make that mod a master before loading it up in the ck.

Well they stated that it's fine to make a patch for their mod. I'm just trying to make a patch that changes the numbers on the weapons added by the mod.
