Fallout NV isometric view?

For sure would be enough imo ... even if was limited to playing the whole game in isometric view.

Could be pretty interesting ?

When you say grid ... you mean for use of estimating distances , pretty much for exterior cells?

Which could be done with placing effect items , or items with effects , like glow.

The slow and tedious but for sure method would be to place them over the whole of a world map.

Dividing cells into 4 quadrants with intersect points. Which would be easy for my mod application since it has it's own world maps ranging from 4x4 cells to 12x12.

And in fact I already place objects at intersection points so I can easily determine location and distances.

But for the NV world space , that's a lot of items to place ... even at only cell corners.

So what I'm thinking , could set up a grid of items rendering 3 cells by 3 cells , in a remote world cell. Then when player turns the grid on ... Use MoveTo for all of these items and how they are situated with another. Then relocate them as per the cell change of the player.

Might work , and drop the graphics for grid mode if possible ?
