FatherCthulhu
So I've simply lost track of how many hours I've spent messing about with the fallout 3 mods I've been trying to install. It's mostly just basics; wanderers edition, marts mutan mod, and wepaon mod kit. Now I have managed to overcome all problems that were causing the game to crash so I can effectively play the game now but the mods aren't turning on while playing the game. I have Mod Manager installed and it claims them to all be installed as well as FOSE and have the FOIP patches and a merged patch. I have everything I just don't know what could be causing the current issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
M48A5
Which Mod Manager are you using? And please post your load order and a brief explaination as to why you think the mods are not running. Also are you launching the game through the mod manager or the fallout3.exe? FatherCthulhu
I'm using FOMM and I launch is through FOSE Loader because when I launch it through mod manager it crashes from the start but launching it from FOSE Loader lets me play fallout 3 with no problems. I did rename FOSE Loader FalloutLauncher.exe. As far as what I think the problem might be it's as I said I can play Fallout 3 no problem the mods just aren't activated during play for some reason. BlackRampage
Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.espRemove this plugin. It's integrated into FOIP patches for MMM & FWE. Aside from that your load order's just perfect. As for the mods not turning on: In what directory did you install FoMM? And what version of FoMM do you have? Also, have you tried starting through FoMM without FOSE active? (File > Launch game > Launch Fallout 3)
FatherCthulhu
I have version 0.13.21 for FOMM and it's installed in Desktop\Fallout 3 goty\GeMM\fomm.exe" And I made sure not to install Fallout 3 in program files. And as far as launching the game through FOMM and not FOSE it crashes with in the first 3 seconds of start up, not in game but the beginning start up of the program. M48A5
Where did you install your Fallout 3 and Fose files? Your path to FOMM does not look right. My installed path is C:\ProgramFiles\GEMM\FOMM.exe and I do not have any problems starting, installing or activating any mods. Since you are not using FOMM to launch your game, did you activate your installed mods on the start page of Fallout3? Also, since you are not using FOMM, how did you install your mods and were they installed correctly? I have checked the install instructions and read me for the mods you have and they all say to use FOMM to install and activate them. There are also installation instructions for FOMM that need to be followed to the letter in order for it to work. Also, what is you install path for Fallout 3? AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,"Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty + FWE.esp (FROM FOIP)" requires Project Beauty as a Master. You don't have Project beauty in your posted load order, that is why you are crashing at start.Remove "Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty + FWE.esp (FROM FOIP)" and try again ;)Happy Hunting
BlackRampage
Desktop\Fallout 3 goty\GeMM\fomm.exe"Wait. You've installed Fallout 3 on the desktop? Anyway, the reason why your mods aren't activating is because you've installed FoMM in the same directory as Fallout 3. Re-install it in a different folder. (Like the folder M48A5 mentioned.)
