Kall399
Is there interest for a mod that would make the useless small interior cells part of the general world space?
chucksteel
I would bet there would be. My mod Beantown Interiors is mostly "Well Received" and it's doing the same basic thing accept I'm opining up the boarded buildings with new open world interiors. If you need any help on the technical side of your mod feel free to ask, I've been messing with this type of thing for a long time.
VIitS
Definite interest. I considered trying something like that at one point, but eventually decided I wasn't interested enough for the amount of work it would take. One problem you are going to run into for some interiors is that Bethesda doesn't always make the sizes match up 1 to 1. As an example, the interior of the Prydwen is noticeably larger than the exterior model (I've heard ~25% bigger, never bothered to double check as they were from people I trust to get it right). Depending on how the system works, you might have some luck (with non-oversized interiors) with turning the entire inside building into a static collection, then placing that in the appropriate external worldspace location. You could then break it if you want, but leaving it as an SCOL will help a little with reducing the performance impact your mod will have (I assume performance is the main reason they made so many buildings use interior cells, but that is just speculation). No idea if that would work, but if it did it would definitely make things a little easier for you. chucksteel is probably the best person to talk to if you want more than theory, I haven't done much playing around with worldspace edits. Kall399
Thanks! I'll ask if something comes up. This is probably going to take at least 5 months or something along those lines first determening witch cells can be "converted". BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
I've frequently though Atomatoys would be a good candidate for this type of thing, but there are several smaller interiors that would just be perfect for this (and be a better place to start out...wouldn't want to overwhelm yourself right off the bat). And yeah, I agree, there is surely interest in this concept. =)

MoreSly
I'm looking into doing this with The Castle Tunnels right now. There's definitely an interest.
