Spryngo
So apparantly the esp's replace any texture you already have installed. This is before, modded with Chris2012 HD Whiterun pack http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=10hlg07&s=5 And this is after, with the esp's enabled: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=28wp4s7&s=5 All the HD pack did was slightly improve armors and weapons. While I have the esp's on, the ground textures outside are exacly the same and that shows that they didn't even try to change them whatsoever. I am major dissapoint. micalov
Thank you for the comparison, looks nice without being over the top I must say :)
PsYchotic666Joker
Can you test it outside with the HD mod vs beth 'dlc' hd texture please
ScrollTron1c
Check for example the wood texture of the shelf in the background. Doesn't really look like an improvement to me. Edited February 7, 2012 by ScrollTron1c
elvinkun
Looks to me like it makes especially the equipable stuff a hell lot better. The statics, well, I didn't have problem with them before and I don't have problem now. Point is, it's a bit better everywhere, not just "That wardrobe in that house" type of retexture. Also has almost no impact on FPS, which cannot be said about some of the fan made retexts. But to each his own, no?
sevvie
World example:Before: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198023729112/screenshot/487749552349319637?tab=publicAfter: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198023729112/screenshot/487749552349314905/?tab=public The only significant difference is up close and personal :P And even then it isn't a large difference... doesn't seem like enough to warrant a 3gb download, to be honest. (However I'm still enjoying having this texture pack, since it doesn't affect my fps at all, whereas other high res texture packs do to some degree.) PsYchotic666Joker
Can you have both in the game? or just one?
Garagorn888
It's unfortunate that the HD texture pack's packed into .esp files. I would have liked to overwrite it with better mods, but still maintain the files that mods have missed. :(
wykrhm
Do the new texture ESP's override any of your installed texture mods for the game?
davegod
very quickly taken in Whiterun, showing a wall, a floor and a person. Apologies for not being exactly alike. All taken ~9am. http://imgur.com/a/JNB7B http://imgur.com/a/nHGFA obviously, imgur has changed my files into jpegs so there's going to be some compression artifacting, which is going to impact higher res textures more than lower res ones.
