CK - Character Creation - Body and Face-color mismatch

EDIT: I found the issue, at least in my case. It was her FemaleUpperEyeSocket.dds entry. It was set to Bluish Tint Light with an interpolation of 0.34. Changing that interpolation value made Lydia's entire forehead lighter or darker. Setting that interpolation issue to zero made her forehead match her face. Weird, huh?

CONFIRMED - 20/05/2012

Tantalus - thank-you! This tip is EXCELLENT, and works for me every time!

I followed all the steps Jupitus said until I got down to the part:

•With the Actor(s) selected, press ctrl+F4. Click "Yes" when prompted to export.

I press ctrl and F4 but nothing pops up. I don't get it. Thanks for the suggestion though, Jupitus. To be honest I'm new to the creation kit, but I have been following tutorial vids and posts. I want to change Sapphire's hair from default to apachi style hair and it doesn't like me.

Pressing CTRL + F4 doesn't do anything for me either, no pop up or dialogue box ...

However I haven't made any major changes to any NPC faces, just changing the morphs like the nose or eyes and sometimes skin colour, and I haven't had the colour mismatch issue (yet!)

the CTRL F4 trick works for me, but each time i upload my file to the nexus, it doesnt work anymore.

why is that? if i open my nexus file in the CK, then make CTRL F4 and upload it again, it works. Isnt there any way to avoid the grey face bug the 1st time i upload it?

Did you make sure the actor in question 's name was clicked on first then hit ctrl +f4. That way worked for me.

Just to help everybody out here :)

The control+F4 only works when you have the "actors" category selected. It does NOT work if you have the "all" categorie selected...

The face tinting works rather odd. It's kinda like Photoshop layers with everything set to 'darken' or 'multiply'. It would have been more simple to work from a 'pass-through' mechanism rather than the above....

Maybe I can help with all this and here it is...........When making a new NPC always export facegen data "ctrl f4" BEFORE you place your NPC where you want in game.

If you want to upload your mod for people to DL you must make it an .esm then then export fecegen data , then drop in your npc then save ..

Or maybe you can include the facegen data with your file when you upload. I don't see why this wouldn't work just don't be like me and forget, lol.

Hope this helps it always seems to work for me.
