SilentResident
Since those are the Mod forums, there is something that's bugging me lately... It has to do about the Gildergreen, the special sacred tree of Whiterun! I love nature, guys. I love it soooo much! :D Here we come - Everyone who played the quest to restore the Gildergreen of Whiterun, knows that there are 2 ways to do it. The player must choose one of the 2 ways:1) The violent way: via obtaining a sap from the Eldergreen's body, 2) The peaceful way: by praying peacefully towards Eldergreen to get a sappling (baby tree). Doing the 1st way, allows the players to see the original Gildergreen restoring to its whole glory - big, overshadowing the district. However, doing the 2nd way, will only have the players enjoy a new medium-grown tree that replaced the original Gildergreen but the new tree is much smaller than the original tree. The new tree, result of the peaceful way is not as immersive as the old tree, result of the violent way of the quest. Since I am having troubles installing the Creation Kit, guys, if can someone look towards making a mod for the players who prefer the 2nd (peaceful) way of doing this quest, but to get the new small tree to grow as big as the original immersive Gildergreen? Because the old Gildergreen is a lot more immersive than the new, smaller tree! :-) What do you think? Thanks! :D Here is a picture of the NEW, small tree that replaces the old big Gildergreen if the players do the peaceful way of the quest. SilentResident
And here a video of the new, small tree: Note: the new tree will grow, but will never grow as big as the original one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C45ylY536dg Edited February 8, 2012 by SilentResident
nosisab
Yeah, the video show it all, there is no need to mod it... the tree is reborn from the sapling you (hopefully) got to it ... or maybe you destroyed the very sanctuary nettlebaning everything, I don't know :) PS: hmm, but I see your point, just would not be the former glory but a totally new glory... Right? Heh, what if we do the Sappling way but still get a big tree instead of a small one at the end: (here I uploaded a picture of the big tree version)You get the big tree only if you do the violent way of the quest (use nettlebane to sap the tree):
