Potential DLC Detailed - GAME JAM

Seriously, before Beth decides to charge us for these. And you know they will!!!

What's with all these butthurt replies about paid DLC? They released the Hi-Resolution texture pack for free.

They charged for all the DLC for Oblivion, I don't see why they wouldn't milk this.

It'd be nice if they were for free, though. *shrug* I'm ambivalent, honestly, I'm really hoping we'll be able to get our hands on some of these, and if they DO charge, it'd better be cheap.

So the fact that they charged for Oblivion DLC is more relevant than the fact that they just released a graphical improvement DLC along the same lines of the content displayed in the Game Jam video for free?

I have hope that these things will come to fruition and will not cost much.

Let's compare to console Oblivion. Obviously you had to pay for expansions and the extra houses and such. And you had to pay for horse armor, which should have been free. But if I recall correctly, "spell books" was free DLC, right? So Bethesda HAS, in the past, released minor game tweaks such as these.

The above posters are probably correct, though. Just because they have a video doesn't mean everything is ready for release. Even in the video there were several points that you can tell things weren't worked out that well. The vampire lord animation was crap, the horseback fighting looked as bad as in Two Worlds, and the spear fighting didn't make a lot of sense. (You could not cause damage by swinging the spear pole at someone... Spears are for stabby)

Sry man but you can't defend bethesda with the hd pack due to the fact that the hd pack are the original uncompressed textures that were compressed for the Xbox 360.

There greed actually took the game from a 10/10 to a 8/10 if you think about it. They do not deserve the fans that they have, they constantly try to milk more and more money from them it's insane not to mention Todd Howard get's treated like a God at conventions the little wormy *&^%@.

Which is irrelevant because they still could have charged for the pack if they wanted to. If they're these horribly greedy people that the hilarious comments in this thread and other threads are claiming them to be, then charging money for something that was already done seems like exactly the sort of thing they would do. Except they didn't. And the fact that they didn't leads more creedence to the hope that we will see these features and improvements in other free DLC, than the people who are claiming "bethesda are evil they witheld these features from us" based on nothing other than speculation.

The sense of entitlement on this forum bewilders me, and it's why I barely post here in the 4 years i've been a member.
