jimhsu
Wings, dragon mounts, yes people will take care of that. (do want though) I do like that the following was demonstrated:- Completely new weapon animations- Ranged finishing moves- Extensive graphic modding - ambient occlusion, flow shader (yayyy!), verlet, etc. I wonder how much of this is possible directly.- Real companion options- Water currents indoors (I think someone on forums already demoed this)- New perk trees Overall, would be really happy if they released this as is and let modders finish it up. cire992
What about them? Wouldn't halberds and spears basically be the same weapon type? Flails would be hysterically fun with skyrim's havok physics, and crossbows could be a time-saver since you don't need a new skill/perks for it. Battle fans and whips just don't strike me as being very... Viking. I just couldn't see them doing weird stuff like that, I think they'd stick to the nordic theme. Spear and halberds are wielded in two different ways. (A spear is a stabbing weapon, a halberd is a slashing weapon.) A spear is also thrown which a halberd isn't. Crossbows, if done correctly, would not be that timesaving, the draw time should be twice as long as for a regular bow. Yeah, they would not make a separate skill and animation set for spears and halberds, they didn't in Morrowind. I certainly wouldn't. Hell, they don't even have a separate skill for blunt weapons anymore, which wasn't even separated before between axes and maces. Which is also why crossbows are a timesaver, they don't need to design a crossbow skill with all new perks. It falls under archery.
bamfigms
It was nice of you to post this. Might save some people some time i guess. Though I'm sure they really wanted to get dragon mounts in the game, and I am sure they tried very hard, but just couldn't meet the deadline. It's a pity too, ,because we all know they won't be able to get much out of that for DLC.
nosisab
We should hope DLCs on the level of Knights of the Nine or Expansions like Shivering Isles. Seriously the changes on the video are all already input even for Skyrim as "asked mods features" and many of them already implemented even in previous games... Just to give an example Akatosh mount for Oblivion where not even dragons were common place :) Still I can understand if the official DLCs can be downloaded into consoles, them they make much sense, but to us PC users, best let it for modders to do. TaranTatsuuchi
Wonder how much of this would be possible with the tools modders have now... I mean, we already have Thu'umMic....
Korodic
This is already had an affect, as I understand Bethesda's making a werewolf/werebear DLC. So Call Of Hircine is quite possibly dead on the start line, or about to be obselete. something else worth noting is that they named skyrim's wilderness "Tamriel"
