Jackdd
Mages have decided to start trolling me. When I fight against them, spells like ice spike, and whatever the Fire one is that those Dremora's use and probably others just knock me into Ragdoll. (And then they use it again whenever I try to get up :wallbash: )What do I do to stop getting trolled? D:
LoganZezima2
Turn down your difficulty? What class are you playing (mage, warrior, etc...)? And what level are you? Edited February 9, 2012 by LoganZezima2
Jackdd
Turn down your difficulty? What class are you playing (mage, warrior, etc...)? And what level are you? I already turned it down to Novice, I play as a mage and I'm Level 30.
stabbykitteh
Mages can be difficult (I traditionally suck at them myself) but the Alteration tree is very helpful. Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, etc.
Guern
i find advanced mages a right pain in sweetroll. look for weapons that drain magicka, like enchanted bows. or disenchant one, and roll your own. Or...use a regular bow with a tasty poison at the tip. use the Skyrim Alchemy Recipes Finder and whip up something that's 'pure negative' and damage magicka (or lingering...) e.g. briar heart, swamp fungal pod, torchbug thorax: Lingering Damage Magicka and Paralysis. ooh and check out... creep cluster, torchbug thorax, wheat: Lingering Damage MagickaDamage Stamina RegenWeakness to Magic cha-ching!
elleonblanco
The solution you seek is called Conjuration. Max out the conjuration tree and summon dual Dremoras. You are fairly invincible at that point. Also you don't suck at Skyrim that is impossible. All you need to do is try a different strategy.

LoganZezima2
Ah. Level 30. That's about when level scaling sets in. Destruction spells start to do very little damage at this point in the game. I'd suggest that you start using a one handed weapon along side a destruction or healing spell. That's what I did.

I use a Destruction spell in my Left hand, and an Ebony Sword (Epic) In the right.
CarlCorey
My level 21, light armor, dual wielding, sneak thief has been suffering this as well lately. I even bumbled into an Ancient Vampire and a Forsworn mage working together to Ice Spike me to death last night. My previous character was a heavy armor, sword and board type around level 35 and never ran into any opposition this tough.
