Indeed, that is an intriguing approach,

to share index of mod lists AND load order all in one,

that you could then share.

 

thanks for sharing this W.I.P. approach, and it is an interesting concept!

this could go hand-in-glove with the troubleshooting AGI idea,

a diagnostic tool to help diagnose what might be causing some of the problems

when users are installing mods etc.

 

you may also wish to cross-post this in the NMM feedback/suggestions/features board too,

as they're always looking at ideas etc.

 

 

 

truly, Murphy's law of the internet is an awesome thing to behold,

why, not 2 days ago, Erosthe|Deity|7 was wondering this exact thing,

and you gamemodul have put it together!

indeed.

 

It would perhaps be more secure, to use the get.that on the NMM side,

rather than the user-side. rather than from the user's actual nmm etc,

it's from their profile etc.

 

now, if only we could share that load order and list,

as a QR or image or such, that way for youtubers

they can put the image and link on the screen with each mod, or

when they do a 'behind the scenes' interview.

 

we could do time and share limited QR code combos,

for limited select previews of mods etc,

or make the HUD an overlay while the review vid is playing.

Thanks for the feedback!

Keep in mind, the current version I've uploaded doesn't keep the load order!

 

Now that I got some feedback, I will start writing a better, configurable, not so dirty one.

Feel free to post your ideas here. Take a look at the VirtualModConfig.xml file, maybe ideas pop up when you see the data available.

 

Will take some days, but then I'll post it here and in the forum you've suggested.

Hello there

 

I've just made a quick and dirty script to generate a list out of Nexus Mod Manager's VirtualModConfig.xml file. Using this list as a reminder for later or just to share some great mod links with friends.

 

Only tested it with Fallout 4, as it's the only "nexus modded" game I've installed right now, but it should work with any NMM compatible game.

 

Just thought I'd share it here. Let me know if you like the idea. I could make the whole thing cleaner...

Hey, just in time ;) I didn't have time to work on it until today anyway.

 

It's still work in progress, but basically usable for testing. I tried to keep it very small and everything in one file except the html template.

You can download and test the current wip-code there: http://code.ourspace.ch/?p=python/nmlister

Click on "zip" to download a zip package of the current master. Unpack, check doc/README.txt, or try nmlister.py --help

 

Like before, it only requires Python 2.7.
