DrClockworks
So I thought I had everything working fine, but a few hours into my game (I started a new one) I started to get a lot of CTD. After a while I just decided to create a new game and so far things are okay, but I haven't spent as much time on this save as I had my previous. I'm hoping someone can give me some insight as to what might have been causing the CTD and help me prepare if it starts to happen again! Below is my mod list/load order, let me know if I need to post any more information. LeddBate
I'm not seeing conflict issues in your mods, though I don't have all of them so I can't be sure. I can tell you that I think the hi-res texture packs from Bethesda are garbage. Too much demand on your memory for too little effect. There are lots of mods on the Nexus that do a much better job. Back to your problem. Perhaps the issue is with your rig, not the mods. Post your rig's equipment -specifically MOBO, PSU, RAM, CPU, GPU and OS (be sure to be specific on details, especially concerning the GPU.) LeddBate
You have a very good rig. Certainly powerful enough for "Oldrim". (Overkill, really.) The problem is likely Win10. Unfortunately, Win10 (and both versions of Win8) cap your memory at 4GB for DX9 games. Exceed that and crash. Soooo, first, get rid of those hires texture packs from Bethesda. They're memory hogs right there. If that helps, and you can live without the little bit they do, then good. Otherwise, you might have to trim some other texture heavy mods to get more stability. Or you might want to buy Skyrim Special Edition. The memory cap doesn't apply to it since it's a DX11 game. Also, it's rock-solid on stability. And while it doesn't have as many mods as Oldrim, that is changing as more mods get ported everyday. Edited because I have pudgy fingers for typing... DrClockworks
Is it possible to allocate more memory to Skyrim, even though it's a DX9 game?
