Lunytic
Basically, I was wondering if there was a contact sheet or list of screenshots that show each item in the CK with it's EditorID? Something new folks like myself can grasp on to as we try to be overwhelmed? Thanks
Nyhilisa
Basically, I was wondering if there was a contact sheet or list of screenshots that show each item in the CK with it's EditorID? Something new folks like myself can grasp on to as we try to be overwhelmed? Thanks If your'e referring to dungeon kits, l really hope there is. It's frankly time consuming to test every version of a specific kit piece to see if it looks the way you want. With some of the nord room kits, there are 7-8 (or more) pieces that can be used for the same basic purpose... bah. lol
Nyhilisa
l was experimenting last night and found the preview button. right click the item in the object window, the menu that comes up has a few options. one of thems a preview one where you can zoom, change orientation etc. l feel like an idiot for not finding it earlier, but w/e. lol. Lunytic
Thanks. And Don't. The CK video tutorials are nice, but they assume you are well versed :P Trying to learn by doing is a little overwhelming at this point . Thanks!
Leeira
But you have to preview the things one after another, right? So it's not really different from dragging it into the render window and delete it if you don't like it.An image gallery with everything would be nice. On one image there should be all pieces of a certain category like there is in the tutorial for the CK.
Sunnie
You do realize that the number of items and objects in the game would result in making a picture DB a monumental undertaking, yes?
Nyhilisa
You do realize that the number of items and objects in the game would result in making a picture DB a monumental undertaking, yes? not saying someone should do it, just that it would be nice. when your'e looking for just that specific piece, it's a bit of a pain to try each one manually, or hit the preview button and switch windows. (the preview is less annoying most definitely, tho.)
Lunytic
You do realize that the number of items and objects in the game would result in making a picture DB a monumental undertaking, yes? Yes* Yes I realize there is a lot too it. But at the same time it's all there referenced already. I don't know how easily someone from outside could do it, but a program that 'printed' out each prefix (e.g. NordicSmRm) into an image file on request wouldn't seem to be out of the realm of possibility. I don't fully understand what it would take, but the images are there in the database and have 2 IDs (form and name) that could be used. A single image file would be insane, but a series of images, capped at say 9 per, would be very much like making a large contact sheet catalogue, which is done by already by numerous imaging programs. The biggest issue wouldn't be doing I don't think, but rather creating an output that is usuable. That is >1 but <too many.
