MDH Weaponeer
The title of the topic simply describes itself... WE NEED ANOTHER EXPANSION!... I want a huge Tropical island in the south, with tiki villages, oceanside towns etc... Gigantic tropical forests with thousands of mythical type creatures and funky old ruins to stumble across... Beautiful new weather with soothing sunsets and large rain storms, one large city in the middle of the island which is sort of like mournhold but with tropical influinces... How about cool new fruits you can get off various trees, which can be used in potions... Lots of new types of armor made from a stone which was descovered on the island... Some sort of story to it... Meh, I don't know, maybe this could be about STRIKING IT FRIKKING RICH... A giant treasure that many have attempted to get their hands on, guarded by an ancient tiki-daedra type monster of some sort, which has amazing powers and lots of backup (commanding the souls of its dead victims, and never letting them free). You can try to defeat the monster, letting the ghosts of its many victims free, and taking the treasure that is no longer guarded... 2 million gold and lots of jewels? Am I getting through with this? Who knows... I'm kinda making it up as I go along... EDIT: Volcanoes. And flame antronochs living under them. Side quests? How about... Hmmm... looking for a certian mysterious fruit that the Mage's guild and many other people based apoun magic have been after for ages, that has been known to seriously fortify your magicka (by like 800-900 points). EDIT AGAIN: And more realistic weather. I don't want a thunderstorm to just suddenly "happen" over me, It would be kind of cool to watch one coming towards the area you're in from the distance... Like being in an old fashioned harbour town, standing on the beach, and watching a far away flicker light up the clouds across the water for a split second. And as the storm gets closer, the thunder gets louder... And it might take a bit of extra programming, but what about waves... and a tide that goes up and down at certian times... And for pete sakes, if you're on the beach where it's windy or whatever, MAKE SOME NEW ANIMATIONS FOR THE TREES. Unless, of course, they're made of concrete and can't sway in the breeze..... wesaynothin
Oooh, me likes. But I don't think it would fit in well with the rest of Morrowind... I know, I know! what about the rest of friggin Tamriel, now that would be an expansion!!! If some crazed modders over at Rebuilt can do it, so can the people at Bethesda who are getting paid! :veryangry:
MDH Weaponeer
After I saw the Dark Nights and dark days thread... I thought this would make things interesting. An island full of a little more.. er.. friendly wood elves and redguards (hey, the nords have their own island). Cool new armour and weapons, staffs that are able to shoot fireballs... All kinds of cool stuff... Imagine the hot, bright, orangey golden sun, shining from above onto a beautiful tropical forest with the sounds of nature and some brightly coloured bird flying past... sounds alot better than getting stuck in a sandstorm doesn't it now? ... Does anyone else have their own ideas for an Expansion?... Any ideas for the... er.. tropical one (no name!) EDIT: where the hell do I contact Bethesda's Morrowind team? Slaiv
That would be sweet [as the author of the Dark Nights, and Dark DAys thread].... But maybe in TES IV. I would much rather have that than an expansion, and an exp. would just delay it...
MDH Weaponeer
I think it would do good both ways... as a new game, or a Morrowind expansion... How about lots of sunken shipwrecks to explore, and SHARKS?... Corals with tons of amazingly coloured fish... Electric eels that do shock damage... german_man
Sounds good, there should be like as man Bosmer there as there are dunmer in Morrowind and vice versa.
Slaiv
But TES IV would come with so many other upgrades, and it would include this island and these items [if they decided to make them.] What I'm trying to say is that if they incorporated this into TES IV, it would only be a small part of the enourmous amount of upgrades to the game, whereas an expansion would most likely add a new land and a few new items. Oh, and quests too.
MDH Weaponeer
I would love to see lots of new enviorments in morrowind... like large snow topped mountains, viewable from far away (STUPID FOG... it's always there!) The next game in the TES series should have tons of new types... desert, tropical, snow, mythical mushroom type place, mournhold "oriental" style, whatever, rocky, aoiaqg09jga0ij4gboigre so on you know what I mean... ohGr
thing is, you take away the fog in morrowind, youll see the end of the cell, and if it loaded twice as more cells, then you must like a slideshow, playing a game at 5fps (morrowind doesnt show anything under 5) isnt fun, ill know, especially when i try to play Unreal Tournament 2003 with 32 bots in gael, it goes from a constant 30+ on no bots, to a crash at botmatch, even if you had a top of the line $10,000 system, morrowind would still lag with that all the way up, dont judge from the editor in windows, huge difference there. anyway i am quite sure bethesda had planned 4 expansions for morrowind...it all depends.
