Murkrow900
Hey guys. I've recently started a new Oblivion game since I haven't played anything but Skyrim when it comes to the elder scrolls series for many years. A friend of mine recommended the infamous ' Oblivion superpack' but the problem with that setup is that it's so god damn unstable. I crash quite frequently and the game freezes up at times also which is not what I'm interested in. I have never completed Oblivion so I don't really care for a 'super high end mod setup'. Just something that enhances the gameplay and graphics but also makes sure that the game won't crash and still stays stable around 60 fps. My specs are the following. Lots of love. Murk. Murkrow900
Hey Bevilex! Thanks for your response. This is graphical mods only I take it? Thanks!
Murkrow900
This looks amazing! Is it possible to maintain 60 fps at all times and eliminate ctd's? Thanks :)
bevilex
Yes, you will have very high stability and performance if you follow it correctly! This list has been tested by me and received positive feedbacks from users. You can mostly find graphical mods but also the most important stability mods and some gameplay/quest/overhaul mods at the end. Murkrow900
Thanks a lot. is it difficult/very time consuming to install? I'm mainly looking for something that I can throw together fairly easy now. As I spent many too many hours modding my Skyrim and I don't have that same type of time right now.
bevilex
It depends on your modding experience. I tried to make it clear and easy to understand, it's not difficult. One afternoon or two will be enough I guess. If you never modded Oblivion or used Wrye Bash (I really recommend to use it to install Oblivion mods), it may take longer. But you don't have to install everything though, install the stability mods and the base texture packs, then just take what you really need. If you have questions or a problem you can ask us on the comment section. There are also video guides to help you at every step. Edited May 7, 2017 by bevilex
Murkrow900
You're fantastic. Thank you :). How good would the experience be if I only took the textures and the stability mods + maybe 1-2 other mods?
bevilex
Your game will look and run better, at a minimal cost on performance considering your hardware. What you can do is:- Install the stability mods and the unofficial patches (really important)- The base texture packs: "QTP3" and "Bomret Texture Pack" to improve the visuals- Add on top of that an overhaul like Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul (will add many nice features, creatures, weapons, armors etc.)- An ENB to improve even more the graphics And you are good to play!If you have the time and patience add all the retextures/replacers that I listed. If you have more questions about the modlist please ask on the dedicated comment section:http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47591/? Murkrow900
I think I will do just that. As I'm someone who's never finished Oblivion I doubt a fully modded setup is necessary for me who just wants a more polished authentic Oblivion experience :-). Thanks!
