Actually, a lot of people care. But the claim that "it was the russian soldier who saved the world from nazis!!" is far to jingoistic and self serving. It rings hollow when one considers that the Allied forces included troops from England, France, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, South Africa, The Netherlands, China, Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, Mexico, Cuba, The Philippines, Brazil, Colombia, Luxembourg, The United States and Russia.

I agree with the last comment. The Nazis invaded the Soviet Union and slaughtered 20+ million people. So if Russian soldiers saved the world from Nazis, it's news to their civilians.

According to my history books, the Nazis were defeated in the Soviet Union by a combination of distance, weather and Allied soldiers including Russian.
