Is there a mod capable of doing this..

Being that there are a very large number of caves, forts, etc and having only visited maybe 10 of them, I get a bit confused as to which ones I have actually plundered. I have about 20 listed on my main map and I just can't seem to remember which ones I have looted or not. Is there a mod that will tell me which ones I have actually been in vs those that I have only "discovered" ?

I really don't know if some flag exist to mark it as visited, I think there isn't as I have not seem anything like it at CS, indeed the engine would not even be aware if you just used the door and left or did all the dirt work.

Unless your purpose is clear each and all locations there wouldn't be prejudice, as you can ever return to already visited ones and have some fun since the whole cell would reset after few game days. Creatures and anonymous NPCs, like bandits, marauders, lnecromancers and such would respawn, and the leveled loot reseted. If you are directed to it by some quest, you shaw have the quest item already, or some before closed path will now be open.

I know for sure there are a counter for locations you discover, so for the game statistical purposes is in finding the locations, not in clearing then that lies the worthy thing (they wouldn't be cleared for long, anyway).

There is a mod, Map of Cyrodiil, I don't know if it would help you but you can look at it.

edit: the above is not a mod in the sense, it is a standalone utility that allows keeping a track of your wanderings an discovers... or better (or worse), can help one to locate the position of certain objective yet not discovered.

I use JQ portable signs http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15659

These are small sign posts that you can place in front of a cave with labels such as Goblins, Vampires, Undead, Bandits, and a few others. You have to buy them, but they are fairly cheap.

Now that is exactly what I am looking for. It even includes an "Explored" sign!

You sir, are a life saver!

Instead of thanking me, Thank Jannix Quinn. A great modder who made the JQ-Portable Signs as well as about a dozen other really good mods. His latest is JQ-Display Pedestals just out today. I'm sure he would appreciate a few 10 ratings and a few kudos.
