Priest Settlers = Generate extra Happiness and Caps for Settlements

A mod for the addition of Pulpits (The little podiums that priests stand behind), to which you can assign a settler to become a Priest.

Priests would hold sermons every morning. Nearby settlers would stand nearby (or sit nearby if seating is available) and bow their heads while the priest was talking for a short time.

Pulpits would generate Happiness (Peace of Mind) and Caps (Donations or whatever) for settlements.

Priests could also heal radiation damage and addictions, but not health or body parts.

I like the idea, sounds interesting, are there in game animations for bowing heads and such? Perhaps some other animation could be used? Wonder what could be done about dialogue, silent sermon would be a bit odd.

I believe there are animations for bowed heads, I vaguely remember the settlers burying their friend were bowing their heads.

 

Dialogue was one obstacle that I could not find an easy alternative to. For all the voice work we'd have to do, it'd probably be more fitting to make Priests unique NPC random encounters that are recruitable to settlements, and have pulpits available for construction in settlements that they're in.

There is a mod that allows you to build a preaching table/podium and assign someone to it as a preacher (no voice though). I want to say that it's either Busy Settlers or NorthlandDiggers, but as I'm at work at the moment I can't doublecheck it. Think Busy Settlers has "rugs" that are used for a praying animation as well (NPC sits on knees).

Not exactly what you want, but it might be a start, until someone goes all the way. :smile: Love the idea in general, but the question is: Can we make everyone believe in holy Atom? (Or Sithis. Hail Sithis!)

Edit: Actually, it might be Invisible Furniture that has an animation mat for preaching and/or prayer.

I don't think it's Northland Diggers as I have that and it has its own menu tab, but the pulpit and pews are in the Special tab (at least in my game)

I'll fire my game up in a little while and see if I can work it out from the ingame ID number of the pulpit and pews which mod it's from (Mama Murphy is my preacher in Sanctuary)

Can the priest please be a child of atom priest?

Not a fan of religion but I doooo like the idea here in this setting. But there is only one active religion/cult in fallout 4 and that is the child of atom (that I know of)

You should head into Diamond City then and visit the All Faiths Chapel. You will quickly be reminded then that there is more than one religion in FO4.
