tomomi1922
I remember there is a shooting range in Mass Effect 3. You have targets to shoot at, they have HP. So you can test how powerful a weapon is. And they don't even include that in Mass Effects 4. I spent a lot of time at the workbench to configure weapons (it's just one of the thing I really enjoy with playing FO4), even more time than actual shooting people. But I just shoot at random stuff to test weapons for the feel of recoil, animation, reload speed, etc... or now I just shoot at the sky because shooting else where will create way too much debris and lags up the game after a while. nVidia card has default option to create real debris made by bullet impacts. And they don't seem to go away even after days in game (unless we fast travel out). So where is a shooting range? Would we just build something that mimic a shooting range? Is there a player home mod with a very nice looking shooting range? Or anyone actually made a mod with real HP for targets (that don't shoot back, and HP restore after a short time)? What do you guys do for shooting range, or just shoot at the sky like me? Edited May 16, 2017 by tomomi1922
iXenite
If I was testing a weapon, I would just go shoot up any of the settlements/towns in the game and then reload the save when I'm finished. That or just run over to the numerous places enemies constantly spawn at in this game. I mean, to be honest, Fallout 4 is one gigantic shooting gallery. It really shouldn't be too hard to find someone to kill. I think there is a shooting gallery thing at the arcade in Nuka World though. I can't remember if you can use your own guns though. Also, you can can disable the Game Works debris if it is causing performance issues. Just uncheck it in the Fallout 4 launcher. Bernt
I remember a few mods - including a home- that incorporated various kinbds of targets/ranges. Right now though I can only find these: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12181/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19654/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15122/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10132/? Arturo's range incorporates moving drop down targets and is - in my opinion- well done. And you don't need to go out building yourself ;)

Then per your recommendation I did watch the video and it is pretty fun watching the moving target and also the xp gain (can be a good/bad thing). I guess it is time to move my customization hobby to Diamond City. Does anyone know if Homeplate resources is connected to the workbench outside or I need a mod for that? Bernt
I didn't even know there was a workbench outside. I've been using a mod turning the indoor wb into a fully functional one. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3777/? And - while I'm at it. This one cleans up the place without removing any of the junk. To me it makes it a lot easier to turn into a nice place. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14737/? There are 2 weapon and armor workbenches outside. I am sure you know that. What I meant was ... the resource within Homeplate would be linked to the benches at the shop outside in the city? I also found out Aturo also has a weapon bench. Very nice. I dont care if they link anymore, just gonna console some resources there so I can do some modding. Btw the place is mighty dark. There are lights, but the part without light is literately pitch black. I have to increase ENB's ambient light indoor to 5 to see anything. I hope I don't mess up other indoor area. Gruffydd
If you just want something to shoot at that doesn't blow up, fall over, or generate xp, there's a target in my signs and posters mod that I made a while back to go with my Target Range sign. It's that blue hologram target attached to a square base designed to look like a projector for the hologram.
