nosisab
used with care and a certain background and understanding of the game mechanics, it is a bless, otherwise it can be a one way ticket to hell (as the saying goes). But worse case scenario is that uninstalling and reinstalling the game (via steam) will revert back to default whatever the damage, am guessing there is no way that can not be the case, am I right?Sadly reinstalling the game will not save a compromised savegame. Anya29 got it right.

All console commands do is change a switch on the game executable. That switch data is stored in the save game it doesn't make a hard coded change in the game .exe If you do encounter an unrelated file problem (not connected with console commands) you can always verify the game cache in steam and it will fix it you don't really need to do a reinstall. could you explain that a little more about the steam game cache open what path a quick how to thankyou. Anya29
could you explain that a little more about the steam game cache open what path a quick how to thankyou. Sometimes games suffer glitches, files damaged, deleted by mistake sometimes. The usual practice is to do a reinstall from disc but steam uses another method. Right click on Skyrim and select properties, then go to the local files tab and select the option to verify integrity of game cache. All you do is click on that and it checks the basic game files and if one is damaged or missing it will replace it. It will not edit ini files back to default and it will not remove mods. Thanks for the advise, would give you Kudos again if I could, and speaking KUDOS I have gave a couple of Kudos points out in this topic, first time I have used the feature and I just noticed that the tick box means negative Kudos, problem been now I can't be sure if I have given positive or negative Kudos to those I have sent, Can assure you my intention was to give positive Kudos, if however I make the mistake of just seeing a tick box and just ticking it without reading it first just assuming it was like a conformation requirement them I am really sorry, if you could maybe check out any Kudos sent by myself on this topic and if in fact it was Negative maybe there is a way to contact a Mod to let them know an error was made via pointing then to this statement to confirm.
