SubjectProphet
So recently I've had a sharp pain in my bottom two front teeth that drives me to tears and lasts for several hours. I've seen a dentist and he said that everything was fine, no cavities, no tooth fractures, nothing. But it feels like there are cavities, as if there are several of them in fact. Pain meds don't help, and every now and then when I want to sleep the pain decides to come back. So my question is, could it have something to do with my jaw and not the teeth? Because either my dentist is stupid or my teeth are fine.
REZ01
OHHH.. dude .. had the same problem a few years ago... turned out .. That about 6 years ago I took a good Square hit to the Jaw.. and had a Horizontal Hair line fracture across my jaw nobody had found.. Went unhealed and now have 4 tooth implants. 5 surgeries.. and several screws and plates.. Can't tell from looking at me.. But it was a mess.. Get it checked out before it gets to that point.. Had to go to a Pain/Nerve Doctor .. and he found the fracture with xrays..
Fonger
Because either my dentist is stupid or my teeth are fine.you clearly need a new dentist if only because this professional didn't do any kind of electrical test on your nearby teeth(checks for some categories of nerve issues)

RitualBlack
Is it possible that it may be an extreme tooth sensitivity to cold? I know that after eating certain foods (like granny smith apples) my teeth become really sensitive, so I tend to avoid them (Unfortunately granny smith is my favourite type of apple ) . Even breathing in air can cause a sharp pain which can last for a few minutes. It is tolerable for me but you could have it a lot worse. Do you tend to eat a lot of acidic/bitter foods (sour candy or pop)? If you bumped your jaw or were hit recently I would definitely take REZ01 advice about it and go see a doctor.
