Is this compatible with MMM?

Is "NPC Static Level" compatible with Martigen's Monster Mod? Anyone?

I took a look at it briefly, and it's compatability with MMM is questionable. That mod messes with level capping, something which I am not sure MMM touches. If you do use it, it will need to come after MMM in your load order.

Me pesonally, I would go with a FCOM setup instead. But that is my personal opinion.

Both are opposed in concept to say the least. MMM is meant to increase the challenge to the player at a large range of levels, while Static Level is meant to decrease it, mainly at higher levels. Although possible this combination is prone to conflicts if some mechanism to merge the differences is not implemented, like FCOM merging the bigger 'overhaul' mods.

Since the incompatibilities are conceptual, the question becomes: Would be possible to use both?

Well, you can, you can even reduce the conflicts at some extent with Wrye Bash or other similar tool. But the result can be "not the better of two worlds", or be a thing some one would like a lot. Just there isn't a easy way to judge tastes and preferences.

Elazul2k, There are some "rules of thumb" that can be used as guides when thinking in using a mod.

If the mod will not include files others than one or a few ESPs, so, if care is took in doing one or two 'save game' before installing it, uninstalling it would just be removing those and returning to the safe save (some times not even this is necessary, but is the safest way).

If the mod will include others kind of files that would not overwrite existing ones (like textures, icons, meshes, sound, etc), uninstalling is somewhat more difficult task, and is advised using OMOD to ease things (is even easy to create a simple omod file from the compressed file or even from the mod folder). But no bigger damage is done to the game.

If the mod will overwrite files, uninstalling it would, at least, require restoring the 'offended' files, most of time this mean reinstalling the affected mods or worse. Very few mods would overwrite things unless they are meant to do this. These are the 'dangerous' mods, the ones that we must ponder for a while if we really wish or need then.

Obviously this is somewhat a simplification, but is a good starting point toward acquiring careful confidence and some light over the dangers.
