How to make custom texture mods work with HighRes Texture Pack

Well, the title should speak for itself, but I must elaborate I guess.

After installing HighRes Texture Pack from Bethesda many texture mods refuse to comply :)

Is there any workabound for this minor annoyance?

For instance, vanilla paper quality is really bad and I'd been using "Realistic Paper" (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=937) retexture happily till latest patch with HighRes Texture pack came out.

Now my beautiful paper went being bland again and contacting the author hasn't rendered any result for he's been banned.

Thus, if there's any possibility of making this paper "shine" again?

Thank you

There is a post on the Bethasda forums about this issue.

A long read but very informative.

Thanks, but this workaround doesn't help

This tutorial is for custom BSA files you want to load

This particular texture mod has no BSA files, just textures

You could always use the CK to make your own custom mod for your own private use then use the load order info from the page provided........

That seems like an over complication for something that was quite simple before the patch. I'm hoping they'll be a way (hopefully soon) to have retexture mods work like they did before.

Thank you. This seems to have worked.

BUT!! Addendum: :wallbash:

After editing INIs the NPC speech has gone.

Adding these lines has helped restore disappeared voices :)

Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Update.bsa,
